Your account is the key to everything — your Sim, your home, your progress. Set it up carefully the first time.

Creating your account

1. Choose a username you are happy to be seen with in a shared city.
2. Use a password of at least six characters, and make it unique.
3. Add an email address so a forgotten password can be reset.

The password reset problem

If you do not attach an email, a forgotten password may be impossible to recover. Add one when you sign up, not later.

One account per person

Shared systems such as the governor election assume one account per person. Do not run multiple accounts to game those systems.
